AT&T is hosting a free event for Central residents to learn more about the Access from AT&T program, a low-cost option for wireline home internet available to qualifying, low-income households. AT&T is working with the Department of Housing and Urban Development through ConnectHome to help narrow the digital divide.
Access to the internet brings with it an opportunity to apply for jobs online, connect with family and friends, access virtual library shelves, research health questions, complete online education – and a whole lot more.
An estimated 1.4 million HUD-assited households across the country could qualify. Attend the event to learn more.
To qualify, a resident in the household must participate in the U.S. Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).
